Networking
Exchange of best practices at national and transcontinental
level to promote successful initiatives and give an
international weight to the demands of national coalitions. |
Empowerment
African civil society organisations possess valuable
knowledge of realities on the ground and legitimacy
in contributing to the design of policies and practices
affecting the people. This bottom-up approach supposes
that CSOs have the appropriate capacities, means and
space to play their role. Donors must commit greater
resources to support their valuable efforts. |
Advocacy
Achieving education for all in a comprehensive and sustainable
manner requires that governments take the lead in addressing
the existing gaps or shortfalls. Civil society has a
fundamental role to play in raising attention on the
issue and making suggestions. Only a sustained and constructive
dialogue, including civil control of budgetary allocations
can bring all stakeholders to elaborate long-lasting,
appropriate and legitimate solutions. |
